What Are Sound Doctrines? (SD01)

Tit 1:9  holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
The last sermon of Jesus (MA series) is now completed and since we are living in the last days, our Lord warned us of deceptions with heresies. Since everyone is claiming that they are teaching the truth and condemn the others as heretic, we will not be able to distinguish heresies from truth if we do not know sound doctrines.
2Pet 2:1-2  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

1Tim 6:3-6  If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
Most of the wrong doctrines of men and heresies come from the disputes and arguments over words (esp. using Hebrew and Greek to justify) but without taking into accounts God's attributes, will, sayings, teachings, promises, covenants, words, etc.

Mat 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many."
Our Lord Jesus warned us to beware of deceptions for many will be deceived and this will lead many Christians to apostate.
2Thess 2:1,3  Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him...Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

John 7:16-17  Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority."
Sound doctrines are doctrines of God and these are the words which God has commanded our Lord Jesus to speak to us, which will not contradict the law and prophets of the OT but fulfill them.

John 12:49-50  "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.
The words of our Lord Jesus Christ which are from God are sound doctrines. So any doctrine that contradicts His attributes, words, teachings, etc. is wrong doctrine and possibly heresy.
2Tim 4:1-4  I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

We are to preach His words, and not the doctrines of men
Mat 15:8-9  'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."
Brethren, please keep out all teachings, commandments or doctrines of men from books, teachings, videos, etc. as we try to find the sound doctrine of each topic together by studying the scriptures from the bible only. With our submission to the Spirit of truth or Helper, He will guide us into all truth so that we will be able to avoid heresies by following, teaching and preaching sound doctrines.

Saved By Faith, Not Of Works (SD02)

Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Christians are all saved by faith in God only. This faith towards God only is the elementary lesson for all new believers.

Heb 6:1  Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.

What is faith towards God?
Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the substance (action) expressing the hope or belief in God. We have to walk (perform, work, do, action, response, etc,) by faith towards God in accordance to His words, commands, covenant, will, promise, etc.
2Cor 5:7  For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Heb 11:7  By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
The building of the ark (action =works) to save his family was the faith of Noah towards God.

Heb 11:8  By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
Abraham leaving Ur (action =works) was his faith towards God.

Heb 11:17  By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Offering of Isaac as sacrifice (action =works) was Abraham faith towards God.
Jam 2:21  Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

Heb 11:22  By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.
Joseph's instructions concerning his bones (action =instruct) was his faith towards God of His promise of Israel possessing the Promise Land.

Heb 11:31  By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.
Rahab receiving the spy with peace (action =works) was her faith towards the God of Abraham.
Jam 2:25  Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

Jam 2:19  You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
The demons too believe there is one God, but did not confessed nor accept (no works) it, because Satan himself wants to be God. Also we cannot have wrong works or bad fruit.

1John 4:20  If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

So Faith = Belief + Works needed to confirm his belief

Jam 2:26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also._

We are saved by faith, i.e believe in Jesus as the propitiation of our sins and confess and accept (works) Him as our Lord and Saviour.

Brethren, no matter how much we sacrifice ourselves to please God, with all types of good and righteous works, there is no salvation besides the grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the sacrificial Lamb of God.

The Gospel Of Jesus Christ (SD03)

Mark 11:1-3  The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You. The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’ ”
The whole Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the complete NT including the four gospels and all the epistles. These will include the gospel of salvation or message of the cross, sanctification or purification to holiness, transformation into His image, and the glorification to be His bride, etc.

     Gospel of Salvation

Luke 24:46-47  Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
Our Lord sends us to preach the gospel of salvation to all nations. The gist of the gospel of salvation (message of the cross) is as follows:-

Christ was the Word made flesh, and the Baby born from the virgin Mary was called Jesus. Jesus was betrayed to the priesthood. He was scourged and crucified under Pontius Pilate as the sacrificial Lamb of God for the propitiation of our sins.
He descended to Hades and overcame death thus setting us free from the fear of death. On the third day, He was resurrected to the Father for glorification, so that the Holy Spirit will be given to every believer as the seal of redemption and Spirit who resurrected Him will also help us to be glorified in Him.
The Apostle's Creed is a good example of the gospel of salvation.

Mat 16:20-21  Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ. From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying,“Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
Though His disciples confessed Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God yet they were not saved because they rejected Him as the sacrificial Lamb, the gospel of salvation.
Similarly all those who had confessed and accepted Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God in evangelistic meetings, but had not accepted the gospel of salvation, they are not saved and without the Holy Spirit as the seal of redemption.

Mark 16:13-14  And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either. Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
His disciples did not believe Him even after His resurrection but only after He had revealed Himself to them.

John 20:20-22  When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."
After His disciples had accepted the gospel and were saved, He gave them the Holy Spirit of redemption.

Brethren, ensure that your sheep are saved for some may be unsaved because they may have believed a diluted or prosperity gospel. Get them to recite the Apostle's Greed often and made sure that they understand, believe and accept the gospel of salvation.

The Saving Grace Of God (SD04)

1Pet 5:5b  for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Since God is righteous (can not and will not sin) and is faithful to His words, He will only give His grace to the humble, those who obey Him and keep His words. The proud are those who reject Him or His words.

Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
The Saving Grace of God is our faith (believing, accepting and confessing) in Christ Jesus as the Lamb of God, Who died as the propitiation for our sins, etc. in the Apostle Creed.
Eph 1:7  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Eph 1:12-13  that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
This saving Grace does not only redeem us by forgiving our sins but also gives us the Holy Spirit as a seal of redemption.

Saving Grace = Salvation + Holy Spirit as the Seal

The Holy Spirit (by grace of God) will help us to understand His attributes, will, words, etc and also to know sins, righteousness, judgment, etc. The gifts of the Holy Spirit will empower us in our works and ministries. However, the unsaved, without the Holy Spirit, cannot understand scriptures thus resulting to them teaching heresies.

1Cor 6:19-20  Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Whenever we sin, our body is filled with our sins. The Holy Spirit dwelling inside our body will be completely immersed in our foul and nauseating sins (Imagine yourself thrown into the foul, revolting and nauseating pond filled with excreta with worms getting into your nose, eyes and ears). Even under such great sufferings and griefs, the Holy Spirit will not leave us otherwise we will lose our salvation.
Eph 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

2Tim 2:19  Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
We thank God for the Holy Spirit in us, Who will convict us of sins so that we can repent, before our awful sins grieve Him further.

1John 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Brethren, it is easy to recognize heresies for their demonic doctrines will always contradict or reject God's attributes, and Jesus' promises, words, teachings, etc. Teachers of heresies (covetous and depraved pastors, false prophets, televangelists, etc.) do not fear God for their conscience were seared with a hot iron.

Very likely, they do not have the Holy Spirit (salvation lost) because they dare to blaspheme Him by distorting or rejecting His words and using lies and deceptions (at times these heresies reduce Him to be a deceiver or liar).

1Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.

He Gives More Grace (SD05)

Jam 4:6  But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Once we accept the saving grace by submitting to Him and His conditions, we are saved and we become children of God. The Holy Spirit in us will help us to understand Him, His words, will, promises, etc. so that we can please Him in all our ways. Whenever we need help, He will grant us more grace (sometimes with gifts and filling of the Holy Spirit) to assist in our works, helps, mission, ministries, etc. such as healing, faith, wisdom, tongues, etc.
Grace is given to the humble. So we must always pray and commit our days, ways, works, ministries, etc. to Him. Prov 3:5-7 teaches us humility and wisdom, and this is profitable for us.

Prov 3:5-7  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.
When we sincerely pray and commit our ways to Him, He will direct our paths. Always remember that He is the Lord God Almighty, a just and righteous God, Who can just wipe us out and send us to the eternal fire. Fear Him by respecting and honouring Him with our love for Him by keeping His words.

The OT and NT are covenants God made with man. When we fulfill our part of the covenant, He will always fulfill His part of the covenant. Fulfilling our part of the covenant is faith in Him and not by our dead works out of our own conceptions, ideas, will, methods or ways.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
He gave us the saving grace when we fulfilled His condition -  believe in Him or the gospel of salvation in Christ Jesus. Similarly if we fulfill His condition of loving Him by keeping His commandments, He will give us more grace - the Helper.

John 14:15-17a,26; 16:13  “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth... But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you... However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
With the Helper in us, we will be able to understand all things and all truth (only those we need), so that we will be able to disciple His sheep. With this grace of God, by giving the Helper or Spirit of truth to dwell in us, we will be able to live soberly, righteously and godly, and also able to overcome the deceptions and wicked schemes of the devil and his false teachers, covetous and depraved televangelists and false prophets.

Brethren, For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. (Tit 2:11-15)

Doctrine Of Baptisms (SD06)

Heb 6:1-2a  Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms,

Doctrine of Baptisms is one of the basics of Christianity, and as Christians we must have the proper understanding.

Luke 3:16  John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

There are 3 types of Baptisms.
  1. Water Baptism by Leaders
  2. Holy Spirit Baptism by Jesus
  3. Fire Baptism by Jesus

1. Water Baptism - John's Water Baptism
Act 19:1-6  And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.” Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
When Paul found out in Ephesus that some disciples had not heard of the Holy Spirit but were baptized into John's baptism of repentance, he knew that they did not have the Holy Spirit as the seal of redemption.
John the Baptist only taught them that Jesus was the Lamb of God and was unaware of the Holy Spirit as a seal. Only after His resurrection did our Lord taught and gave the Holy Spirit to His disciples.
John's disciples having already accepted the salvation gospel and now believed the promise of the Holy Spirit, were baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus (or Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Immediately they received the Holy Spirit and also the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Those disciples were then born again)

             Water Baptism in Jesus name.
We must ensure that those new converts are saved by believing and confessing the actual gospel of salvation, otherwise believing in the diluted or another gospel they will not be saved before their water baptism. All those who refused water baptism are likely unsaved (without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) for they were still unbelievers.

2. Baptism with the Holy Spirit
Since only our Lord can baptize us with the Holy Spirit then this will be during the giving of the Helper or Spirit of truth when we love Him.

John 14:15-17a,26  “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth.

3. Baptism with Fire
Mark 10:38  But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”
This will be the baptism of suffering and martyrdom whereby we are to love and die for the brethren just as our Lord Jesus loved and died for us.
1John 3:16  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren

Brethren, it is only when we have received the Holy Spirit as the seal of salvation by believing and confessing the true gospel of Jesus (e.g the Apostle Creed) that we are converted to Christianity or born again. Anyone without the Holy Spirit is still unsaved, and there may be many unsaved in churches for their belief in the wrong or diluted gospel.

The Covenants Of God (SD07)

Both OT and NT are the main covenants of God.
In the OT, the Temple (Tabernacle) of God was built in order that the Israelites can observe Moses Laws (Judaism) to fulfill their part of the covenant (esp. sacrifices and Jewish feasts). In return God will be their God and they will be His holy people, etc.

After the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, the veil of the temple was rent (God left the temple of God). Without God in the temple Judaism was over, so that God could bring in His grace through faith of Jesus Christ.

Mat 7:12  "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
Our Lord Jesus prophesied that the ceremonial laws and feasts would be abolished (fulfilled by His death and resurrection) and only the moral and social laws need to be fulfilled by considering other's needs or love your neighbors as yourself.
Gal 5:14  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Gal 3:10-11  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”
We must not keep the law otherwise we will come under the curse because we cannot keep all the laws. God destroyed the temple to prevent the continuation of sacrifices in Judaism.

Rom 7:7  What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
However, it is from the law that we understand sin (abominations, evil schemes and wicked works) so that we detest them.

Gal 5:18  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
When we keep the laws of Moses we are under law, but when we keep the words of Jesus we are walking in the Spirit for His words is spirit and life.

John 6:63  It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
What a terrible mistake, for Christians to think that the words of our Lord Jesus Christ is law and not Spirit - His words are spirit, truth and life
John 1:17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The NT is also a covenant of God so that His abundant grace in Christ Jesus will be fairly given to believers, e.g love, blessing, power, anointing, sanctification, etc.

John 15:7  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
We don't need to pray and fast all the time, sacrifice nor give everything away to get His answer to our prayers. All He asked of us is to abide in Him and His words to abide in us.
John 15:14  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

John 8:51  "Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

Brethren, since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. (1Pet2:22-23)

A New Covenant for Israel (SD08)

Jer 31:31  “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for *they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
1. I will put My law in their minds
The Helper will bring His words to our remembrance.
John 4:26  "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
2. I will write it on their hearts;
3. they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
They will accept Jesus as their Messiah and once again become His people

4. No more shall every man teach his neighbor... they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,
The Helper will teach us all things.
John 4:26a  "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,"

5. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.
At our confession or repentance, the blood of our Lord Jesus will cleanse all our sins.
1John 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

After Rapture the Grace will be upon Israel
Jer 11:19-20  Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
Since the Helper or Spirit of truth (new Spirit), is given to the Israelites, then they have become His beloved Christians by His grace (144,000 Israelites in Rev 7:4-8; 14:1-5). Thank God that the Israelites will be saved by grace when they believed our Lord Jesus who comes for His elects at Rapture.
Zec 12:10  "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn."

Rom 11:26-27  And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, when I will take away their sins."

Holy Spirit In Old & New Testaments (SD09)

Psalm 51:11-12  Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Just like any born again Christian, David was saved and had the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given to the priesthood, prophets and some Jews.

Isa 63:10-11  But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them. Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying: “Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them?

Some Gifts of the Holy Spirit

1. Gifts of prophecy
1Sam 19:20 Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
All three groups of messengers (Jews) who were filled with the Spirit of God prophesied.
Act 19:5 -6  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

2. Gifts of Signs and Wonders
Judg 14:6  And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
Many sign and wonders were also performed by Moses in the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.
Act 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.

3. Gifts for the various Ministries
Exo 31:3-5  And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.
Spiritual gifts were given to help to build the Temple of God and today in the various ministries in churches.
1Cor 12:28  And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

     Saul prophesied in nakedness
1Sam 19:23-24  So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he also stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
Though Saul was rejected by God because of his many sins (1Sam 15), yet the Spirit of God was upon him and he prophesied but in complete nakedness.

Is nakedness (condemned by God as sinful) one of the signs to warn Christians of false or sinful prophets?

1King 22:23  "Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.”
Brethren beware, for God also exposed the lies of false servants of His by using lying spirits. So those who howl (wolves), bark (dogs), wriggle (snakes), covetous, arrogant, lustful, adulterous, etc. are possibly signs of false or sinful servants (pastors, prophets, etc.) rejected by God.

Sins Of David And Saul (SD10)

Psalm 51:2-3  Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

Psalm 51, was the prayer of repentance of David after Nathan the prophet confronted him for committing adultery with Bathsheba.

    David's abominable sins
2Sam 11:3-5  So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.”
When David found that Uriah's wife Bethsheba was pregnant, he sent for Uriah. After getting him drunk, David sent him home to his wife but he refused. With his deception a failure, he sent him back to the battlefield. David instructed Joab to send Uriah to the front line and to have him killed by withdrawing the other soldiers.

1Sam 12:11-12  Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’"
The prophet Nathan told King David that the unborn child would die and all his wives would be taken by another in the sight of all because of his many abominable sins:-
  1. Adultery with Uriah's wife
  2. Made Bethsheba pregnant
  3. Trying to deceive Uriah
  4. Setting up Uriah's death
  5. Marry Uriah's wife,
1Sam 12:13-14  So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”
When David humbled himself, repented of his sins and gracefully accepted the extremely painful, sorrowful and harsh judgments of God, God forgave all his abominable sins.

    Saul's disobedience and sins
1Sam 13:12-13  then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.” And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
Saul blamed Samuel for coming late and gave many excuses, he did not sincerely accept nor confess his sins.

1Sam 15:20-21  And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”
Again Saul blamed his people and said that with these animals as sacrifices God should be pleased. Because of his disobedience God rejected Saul as king.

1Sam 5:22-23  So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”

Brethren, let's be like David, humble ourselves before God, accept our mistakes and weaknesses, repent of our sins, keep the word of God as truth and His chastisements as our refinements, so that He can continue to use us mightily for His glory. Let's not be wise in our own understanding, like the arrogant Saul, but keep Jesus' words and teachings without doubt. He is our Saviour, Teacher, Lord and Master. Rebellion against Jesus' words and teachings is witchcraft. Stubbornness (refusal to repent) is idolatry. If we reject His words, He will reject us as His servants. No wonder they are so many depraved (covetous, worldly, carnal, sensual, homosexual and heretic) Christians leaders (pastors, teachers, bishops, prophets, elders, televangelists, etc.) especially in USA.

A New Spirit - The Spirit Of Christ (SD11)

Jer 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
In the OT, the Spirit of God or the Holy Spirit were given to the Jews for anointing, empowering, gifts, seal of salvation, etc. Even the empowering of the Holy Spirit was not good enough to help his people (Jews) repent and overcome their great wickedness.
So in this new covenant, on top of the Holy Spirit for salvation and empowering, God will also give the Jews a new Spirit so that they can walk in His statutes and keep His judgments to do them just as with Christians.

Gen 6:5  Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The new Spirit will cause them

1. to walk in His statues
John 5:19-20  Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
Whatever our Lord Jesus saw or heard from the Father, He will completely obey them, i.e His words, will, teachings, works, etc.

2. keep His judgement and do them
John 5:30  "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me."
Our Lord Jesus judged according to His judgment. When we obey His will, our judgments will always be righteous, but if we follow our own will (normally selfishness, worldly, carnal, etc), our judgments will be partial and unacceptable.

Rom 8:9-11  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Christ came in the flesh and suffered death at the cross. Having overcame death the Spirit of Christ resurrected Him, so that all those with the Spirit of Christ will be be able to overcome all trials, temptations, sufferings by the crucifixion of their flesh.

John 7:16  Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority."
When we do the will of God, we will be able to boldly judge doctrines, sins, abominable practices, etc. with His righteous judgments.
2John 1:9  Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

1Cor 2:15  But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

Brethren, just like Christians, the Israelites must accept our Lord Jesus as their Messiah and keep His words so that the New Spirit in them is the Spirit of truth.

A New Heart - Grace Of God (SD12)

Eze 36:26-27  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
God demonstrated this new heart of flesh (love, mercy and compassion) instead of the laws of the OT in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ while He was on earth.

John 3:17  "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
Our Lord clearly told the Jews that He was not sent by God to condemn them but to save them through His love and mercy. Though the foundation of His throne is justice (judgment), yet before His face is found mercy. Brethren, do not be arrogant but let's be humble before His face to obtain mercy

Psalm 89:14  Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face.

Two examples of His mercy triumphant over the laws

1. Forgiving adulterous woman
John 8:10-11  When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,
“Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
The adulterous woman Mary Magdalene, was spared her life and she became His faithful disciple.

2. Healing of Canaanite daughter
Mat 15:24,28  But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”... Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
By His grace the Canaanite woman's daughter was healed.

    Grace through our Lord Jesus

1John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Word or Spirit of Christ was made flesh in the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was full of:-

Grace - love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, generosity, etc.

Truth - wisdom, understanding, knowledge of God, power, faith, etc. and set free from worldliness, lusts, lies, wickedness, and abominable practices.

The gospel of Jesus was the greatest grace shown to men when the Word was made flesh. As a human He suffered from the crown of thorns and the scourging for the healing of our infirmities. He was crucified as our sacrificial Lamb and on the third day He rose from the dead. He went back to the Father to be glorified. When we confess our sins because we believed and accept the gospel of Jesus then we are saved and the Holy Spirit is given to us as the seal of redemption.

And when we love our Lord Jesus by keeping His commandments, He will baptize us with the victorious Spirit of Christ (the Helper, the Spirit of truth) to help transform our evil hearts into new hearts filled with His grace.

Rom 8:9  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Brethren, with the Spirit of Christ dwelling in the Israelites, they will be able to have His grace (new heart) to be kind, gracious, helpful, merciful to our brethren and to forgive, protect, support, provide, encourage and most of all to love one another as our Lord Jesus Christ had loved us and died for us

Law - Animal Sacrifice (SD13)

Mat 5:17-18  “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled."
The OT is the Law of Moses and the Prophets which is commonly referred to as the law. Since our Lord Jesus fulfilled the law, we too must ensure that we fulfill the law through our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Fulfillment of Animal Sacrifice
Heb 9:13-14  For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrifice sent by the Father and He was offered once at Calvary for the cleansing of all our sins by the precious blood of Jesus. Animal sacrifices are no longer needed.
Heb 9:28  so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

    Curses from Adam's sin

Gen 3:17-19  Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”
Because of the sin of Adam, God cursed the ground so that whatever man plants :-

1. thorns and thistles (weeds, reeds, lalang, etc.) will grow giving us a lot of problems, hard work, headaches, pains, sufferings, etc.
We thank God that our Lord Jesus remove this curse from us by Himself suffering from the bleeding caused by the thorns piercing His head hit with the reed.
Mat 27:29-30  When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.

2. sweat in the face for the hard labour to earn our livelihood.
We thank God for His love for us for removing this curse from us. He requested the angel to prevent Him from fainting or dying for His great agony was far beyond human endurance until He sweated blood.
Mat 22:43-44  Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Gal 3:13  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Christians are no longer under curse.
Brethren, therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. (1Pet 4:1-3)

Law - The Feasts Of The Lord (SD14)

Exo 23:14  “Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the year:"
There are only three main feasts of the Lord, where all the Israelites (males only) must appear before the Lord (either in front of the Tabernacle or Temple of God)

The Feast of Unleavened Bread
On its eve, the Passover Lamb was slaughtered, and the following day all Israel must appear before the Lord to keep the Feast.

Exo 23:15a  You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month of Abib,...)
This Feast was fulfilled when our Lord Jesus Christ the Bread of Life was crucified as the sacrificial Lamb of God for the redemption of man's sins by His precious blood.

Feast of Harvest of Firstfruits

Exo 23:16a  and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field;
After the Passover, the first harvest of the ripen wheat, barley, etc. out of the earth, will be a burnt wave offering to the Lord. This was fulfilled by the resurrection of our Lord on the third day after His crucifixion. Fifty days after this, all Israel must gather before the Lord for the Feast of Harvest of Firstfruits. This was fulfilled by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Feast and convocations not fulfilled yet

The Feast of Ingathering
Lev 3:16  and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field.
The Feast of Ingathering is the event in the future. However, if this feast falls on the seventh month, then this will become the Feasts in the Seventh Month, possibly signifying the beginning of the seventh millennium of human creation.

1. Blowing of Trumpets
Lev 23:24  “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation."
This will be fulfilled by the coming of our Lord Jesus for His elects at Rapture to end the period of grace for the Gentiles and also the end of the sixth millennium. The blowing of trumpets will herald in the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Mat 24:30-31  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Brethren And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

2. Day of Atonement
Lev 23:27  “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord."
This will be fulfilled when the remnant of Israel will mourn, repent, believe and accept our Lord Jesus as their Messiah (the One they pierced) and then all Israel will be saved.
Zach 2:10  “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

3. Feast of Tabernacle
Lev 23:34  “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.
This Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled when our Lord Jesus comes down to establish His Millennium Rule on earth (with Satan cast into the bottomless pit).
Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but *they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

4. Eighth day Sabbath-rest
Lev 23:39  ‘Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.
The eighth day sabbath-rest, possibly signifying the beginning of the eighth Millennium will be fulfilled by the New Heaven and New Earth and then eternity.
Rev 21:1  Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

Do we keep these unfulfilled holy convocations and Feast?

John 6:29  Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Brethren, without the temple of God we must not try to keep these unfulfilled feasts and convocations but to believe that our Lord Jesus at the cross had fulfilled His part as the sacrificial Lamb, High Priest, etc. when these events will come to pass at the appointed time. We must believe and teach that Jesus will come for His elects at Rapture (blowing of trumpets), all Israel will be saved by accepting Jesus as their Messiah (Day of Atonement), the Millennium Rule of Jesus (Feast of Tabernacle) and finally the new heaven and new earth giving us the eternal rest with God (Eighth day Sabbath-rest).

Law - The Temple's Outer Court (SD15)

Exo 40:29-30  And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had commanded Moses. He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing;
The Outer Court of the Temple houses the bronze 'Altar of burnt offerings' just after the entrance, and also the bronze 'Laver of water' for the washing of the  priests. Both these vessels were outside but just in front of the door of the 'Tabernacle of meeting' or Holy Place.   (See picture)

    Altar of Burnt Offerings
Gen 8:20  Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Man is created in the image of God, so God used the deluge to kill all the corrupted descendants (human hybrid - no longer the image of God) of women fathered by the fallen angels (sons of God). After Noah had built the Altar, God only accepted the sacrifices of clean animals and clean birds as burnt sacrifices.

Lev 7:37  This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering, the trespass offering, the consecrations, and the sacrifice of the peace offering, (For full details read Lev 1-9)
God instructed the priesthood in great details how to prepare and offer the various types of sacrifices. The two sons of Aaron disobeyed and were killed by God.
Lev 10:1-2  Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

Heb 3:11-13  For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
At the Altar, the priest accepted the sacrifices of the Israelites and then prayed for them for redemption of sin, thanksgivings, healings, blessings, requests, etc. which is outside the Holy Place.

John 19:20  Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
Our Lord Jesus (Lamb of God ) was offered on the cross just outside the walls of Jerusalem (the holy city of God) fulfilling the 'Altar of burnt offerings.' So whosoever believed in Jesus as the Lamb of God shall be saved.

     The Laver of Water
Exo 40:30-32  He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing; and Moses, Aaron, and his sons would wash their hands and their feet with water from it. Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Before the priest could enter the Holy Place, he must first washed himself at the laver and then put on the priesthood garments in the Holy Place.
Having been saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus, let us allow the Holy Spirit to lead us to holiness through the washing with pure water (laver) by obeying the word of God.

Heb 10:22  let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Law - The Holy Place (SD16)

Exo 40:22-23  He put the table in the tabernacle of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil; and he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses. He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle; and he lit the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses. He put the gold altar in the tabernacle of meeting in front of the veil; and he burned sweet incense on it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
For any priest to enter into the Holy Place (Tabernacle of meeting), full of the presence of the Holy Spirit, he must first washed himself with the water in the laver (pure water) and then put on the holy garments of the priests. Similarly, every Christian who wants to be surrounded with the Holy Spirit must first cleanse himself from the defilements of this world with the words of Jesus. Having loved our Lord Jesus by keeping His commandments, then our Lord Jesus will be baptized him with the Holy Spirit (enter into the Holy Place), Who will lead him into understanding knowledge and truth.
There are three types of utensils in the Holy Place of Moses Tabernacles and also all subsequent Temples of God, namely:-

1. Table of Showbread
The unleavened bread (word of God) was the food for the priests. This was fulfilled by our Lord Jesus Christ the bread of life for leaving behind His words, teachings, commands, etc. with us. From His words, the Spirit of truth or Helper will teach us all things.

2. Golden Lampstand
The fire from the burning oil gave light to the priests. Similarly, the Spirit of truth will lead us into all truth, which will enlighten us. Our Lord Jesus is also the Light of the world.

3. Altar of Incense
The Altar of Incense was the place where the priest offered incense of sweet aroma to the Lord.
Note: Since the priesthood could not enter into the Most Holy Place for the sacrifices of animals was not good enough, the Altar was kept outside the Most Holy Place so that all priests could minister to Him. But after our Lord's crucifixion and resurrection, this changed the whole scenario.

1Cor 6:19  Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

        Position in temple at Salvation
Brethren, the moment anyone is saved, the Holy Spirit dwells in him as the seal of redemption. His physical bodies then becomes the Temple of God. At this stage, he is in similar position as the Israelites in the Outer Court, where the priests prayed for the remissions of sins with animal sacrifices and prayed for blessing, mercy, healings, peace, joy, forgiveness, happiness, etc.

Brethren, we need to keep His commandments (cleansing at the laver with the pure water) and  to love Him (putting on the holy garments) before we are baptized with the Holy Spirit (entering the Holy Place)

The Holy Place

John 14:26; 16:13  "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you... However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
So all those baptized with the Holy Spirit (the Helper, Comforter, Spirit of truth) will be like those in the Holy Place in the temple of God.

Law - The Most Holy Place (SD17)

Exo 40:1-3 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and partition off the ark with the veil."
Inside the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies), was only the Ark of the Testimony, comprising of the ark containing initially the two tablets of Moses (but later added Aaron's budding rod and also the Book of the Law) and on top was the mercy seat with two cherubims in each end.

           The Ark contains :-

1. Ten Commandments Tablets
2Cor 3:2-3  You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
God's design is that every Christian should be able to come before His presence at the Mercy seat. He showed us a higher commandment by dying on the cross thus fulfilling the Ten Commandments.
John 13:34  "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”

2. Aaron's budding rod
Num 17:10  And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.”
Our Lord Jesus is the High Priest of the order of Melchizedek, a higher Priesthood than Aaron's, so that He can enter the Most Holy Place to be with the Father.
Heb 5:8-10  though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”

3. Book of the Law
Deut 31:26  “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;"
When we love Him and keep His commandments, He will give us the Helper, the Spirit of truth to help us to remember and understand His words and all truth.
Heb 8:10-11  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

4. Mercy Seat of God
Exo 25:22 "And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel."
God spoke to Moses and the Israelites from the Mercy Seat or via the angels (two cherubim). But when we love Him by keeping His word, God the Father will dwell within us, thus setting up His mercy Seat (throne of grace) and establishing the Kingdom of God within us.
John 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

Brethren, For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4:15-16)

Law - Building The House Of God (SD18)

1Cor 3:11-14  For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
Based on the foundation of our Lord Jesus Jesus Christ (according to His words, teachings, promises, designs, plans, will, etc.), each of us is expected to build the House (temple) of God that is within us.

The Outer Court
All the items for holding up the screens (cloth) of the outer court was made mainly of silver. We must build the Temple's Outer Court within us with silver - clean, pure and righteous works.
1 Pet 4:3-4  For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.
So having being saved by the blood of the Lamb, and having the Holy Spirit in us, we are able to separate ourselves from worldly lusts and walk righteously.
Phil 3:8  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

The Tabernacle
All the items used to hold up the screens (cloth), coverings of animal skins and wooden panels covered with gold, were mainly made of gold or covered with gold.

Gold represents eternity, purity, holiness and love.

John 14:23  Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
In order for the holy Father to dwell in us, we must love Him. We must build this holy Tabernacle out of our love for Him (gold).
1John 2:5-6  But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

The Altar of Incense
Heb 11:39-40  And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
The Altar of incense was placed outside the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies or Holiest of All) because of the imperfect animal sacrifices, so apart from us, even the men of faith in Heb 11, could not enter the Most Holy Place.
Heb 9:3-4a  and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant.

The Altar of incense is now placed inside the Most Holy Place in the Temple of God that is within us, because we have loved one another as He had loved us, by offering ourselves as living sacrifices by fire with sweet aroma at the Altar (Baptism of fire).

1John 3:16  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Law - The Royal Priesthood (SD19)

Exo 32:26  then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, “Whoever is on the Lord’s side—come to me!” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
Though all the Israelites were the people of God, yet only those who volunteered to obey and serve Him were chosen. Similarly, only those who willingly choose to serve Him will be called.

Heb 9:11-12  But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption
When our Lord Jesus offered Himself as the perfect Sacrifice, He was able to serve as High Priest in the Most Holy Place, and we, being His royal priesthood can also serve the Father inside the Most Holy Place.

Priest at the Bronze Altar
At the Bronze Altar the priests with the holy garments (with His love and perform according to His word and will) accepted the sacrifices (for sin, peace, thanksgiving, healings, etc.) and offered them to God. He would then pray for their forgiveness of sins, requests, healings, miracles, etc. Similarly, today's pastors are to minister to the sheep with His love and teaching His words in truth (no heresies nor distorted truth).

     Warning to all sinning pastors
Eze 44:13-14  "And they shall not come near Me to minister to Me as priest, nor come near any of My holy things, nor into the Most Holy Place; but they shall bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed. Nevertheless I will make them keep charge of the temple, for all its work, and for all that has to be done in it."
Similarly, unless these depraved pastors and church leaders had truly repented of their worldliness, covetousness, carnality, deceptions, immorality, lies and heresies, they will not be able to come before God nor have His truth, helps, revelations, teachings, anointing, empowering, etc. Being in darkness, their teachings using worldly wisdom will always contradict the word of God.
It is easy for born again Christians to recognize the heresies of these false teachers and false prophets. All godly Christians will abhor heresies, distorted truth and false doctrines for these demonic teachings had misled and deceived many of God's people to damnation.

Eze 44:15-16  “But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood,” says the Lord God. "They shall enter My sanctuary, and they shall come near My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge."
Brethren, just like Zadok we must faithfully keep His words amidst the popularity of the attractive but distorted and destructive gospel.
1John 4:6  We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

When we love the Lord with all our hearts, we will rejoice keeping His words, commandments, teachings, etc. and we will be able to love one another as He had loved us by dying for us. Since God is love and God is also holy, so when we walk in love we are actually walking in holiness. And then we will be able to present ourselves inside the Most Holy Place as His Royal priesthood serving Him in front of His Throne of Grace.

Law - The Foundation Of Our Salvation (SD20)

Col 2:16-17  So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Our Lord Jesus by His grace and love for mankind, offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice by sufferings at the hands of men till His death on the cross in order to satisfy the requirements of God's covenant.

1Cor 3:10-11  According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
At our salvation, God gave us the Holy Spirit as His seal of salvation, thus making our bodies the temples of God. Since each of us must build our own holy temple, we must build them on the foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 8:4-5  For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
God was very particular in the manner the tabernacle was built. Similarly, to build His holy temples, we must follow all the instructions, words, commandments, teachings, etc. of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Col 2:6-8  As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Basic Foundation of being Saved

If we believe, accept and confess the gospel of Jesus Christ, then we are saved or born-again with the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. The following is the gospel of Jesus Christ -

'We are sinners and that God so love the world that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be made flesh. Because of Jesus' love for us, He offered Himself to suffer under the hands of men until death. At the cross He became the propitiation of our sins for being the sacrificial Lamb of God. Having paid for our sins with His own blood, He descended to Hades to overcome death and on the third day He rose from the dead and gave us the Holy Spirit as His seal. He ascended to the Father in heaven and is glorified.'

All those who had not believed nor confessed any of the followings may not be saved nor born-again:-
  1. We are sinners
  2. Jesus was the Lamb of God.
  3. Propitiation of our sins by His death
  4. Saved from eternal judgment
  5. His resurrection
  6. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Some of the heresies today are:-
  1. No need to confess our sins
  2. Jesus teachings are laws
  3. No need to follow Jesus' words
  4. Once saved always saved.
  5. We are gods
  6. Poverty is a curse
Brethren, all those unsaved and heretics will not know how to build His temple for they are completely in darkness being trapped by the deceitfulness of the riches of this world, pride, arrogance, power, etc.

Law - Setting Up The Temple (SD21)

Col 3:12  Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
As we come before the Lord to constantly confessing and repenting of our sins, we have established the bronze Altar of burning offerings in the Temple in us.

Eph 5:26  that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
By obeying His commandments and words, we are cleansed from our consciences our weaknesses and lusts, then we have established the bronze Laver in the Temple. As we slowly forsake the world and the things therein, our love for the Lord will grow till we can enter into the Holy Place.
2Cor 4:2  But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Mat 4:4  But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’"
After entering into the Holy Place,  as we hunger for His words in the Bible (not books, literature, etc., which are mainly opinions of man), we have established the table of showbread in the Temple.

Eph 1:17-18  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
As the Holy Spirit enlightens us in the truth, understanding, and knowledge of Him, our love for Him will increase. Then we have established the Lampstand in the Temple.

Gal 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
When we become a living sacrifice (loving one another as Jesus had loved us), we are the sweet aroma offered to Him at the golden Altar of incense.

Mat 5:44-45a;48  "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven... Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."
When our love is perfected and we are merciful even to all our enemies, persecutors, etc. then we have established the Mercy Seat (Throne of God) in the Temple within us.

Luke 6:36  "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful."

Brethren, unless we are merciful to the lowly, despised, poor, needy, hungry, how do you expect His mercy?
Every Christmas, we give to every baptised OA brethren 2 tins milk, 2 tins sardines, 2 kilo cooking oil, 1 kilo rice and 1 kilo sugar, latest by 15th Dec before the floods and landslides hit Gua Musang and Kuala Lipis. We are given you this opportunity to be merciful to these oppressed and hardcore poor 6,200 OA brethren living in the interior.
We are also sending food and frozen meat into the jungle where all will come home to celebrate the Lord's birth.

Brethren, please do not forget Christian charitable homes and missions for they need financial support during these difficult times. For whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? (1John 3:17).

Law - The Ten Commandments (SD22)

Mat22:37-40  Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. Brethren And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
When we love the Lord with all our hearts, souls and minds we have fulfilled the first three Commandments.

4th. Commandment-the Sabbath

Exo 20:8  “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates."

All Israelites must rest on the Sabbath from their normal daily work.
Mat 12:7-8,12b  "But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath...Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
Our Lord Jesus told the Pharisees that doing charitable works on the Sabbath is not sinful. This can mean that when we are doing charitable works we are actually taking our Sabbath.

Exo 20:11  "For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."
When God rests on the seventh day, God only cease from His work of creation. Since God doesn't sleep, He will be rejoicing while showing His grace, love and mercies to His saints who had transformed themselves into the image of His Son Jesus. They had obeyed His words and were able to overcome the deceptions, temptations, persecutions, etc. of Satan. God will be delighted to accept their praises, honors and worships as their King, Father and God during His rest in the new heaven and new earth.

Mark 2:28  And He said to them, “Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
Besides His precious time with the Father in prayers, our Lord Jesus was doing good works all the time, e.g teaching, preaching, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, comforting the sorrowful, raising the death, etc. To Him, everyday was the Sabbath, thus fulfilling the 4th commandment for He is the Lord of the Sabbath.
Similarly, His disciples too fulfilled the Sabbath by daily preaching and teaching His gospel, healing the sick, breaking bread from house to house, etc.
Act 2:46-47  So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Mark 2:27  And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath."
We thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the Sabbath so that we can worship God any day of the week (no longer only on Saturday) for 'Sabbath is made for man'. Since we have 37 OA churches in the jungle with only six OA pastors, we hold our worship services everyday throughout the week with up to six services daily in order that our brethren too have the Sabbath with the Lord.

Brethren, we can fulfill all the Ten commandments when we worship Him daily (love our Lord with all our hearts) and do charitable works (love our neighbors as we love ourselves).

God's Eternal Plan (SD23)

Isa14:12-13  “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’
Lucifer, also known as Satan or the Devil rebelled against God for he wanted to be God and to sit on the throne of God, far above all the angels, so that all will worship him as God.

Rev 3:21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
So after the fall of Lucifer and before the foundation of the world, God chose weak and fragile men (not angels), created in His image, to be predestined to sit on His throne on condition that they can overcome the wiles of Satan.

1Pet 1:19-20  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.
God also predestined that the Word was made in the form of a man and that through His sufferings as the Lamb of God, He will be able to help men overcome the temptations of Satan.
Heb 2:18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

Gen 1:27; 2:16-17 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
God created men in His own image and gave them their free will. Men failed miserably when tempted by the Devil. Since then man worshiped idols and commit all types of abominations. Even the descendants of Abraham  with God's covenant, laws and the display of His presence, miracles, blessings, signs and wonders, etc. rebelled against Him.

The New Covenant

Rom 10:9  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
With this new covenant, if anyone (not angels) chooses to believe the gospel (His death, redemption, resurrection, etc.) then he will be saved (born-again again) with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17a  “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth,
It was predestined that if anyone keeps his part of the covenant (loving Him by keeping His commandments), then God will give him the Helper, the Spirit of truth to teach him all truth and to help him crucify his flesh and overcome the wiles of the evil one.
Eph 1:4  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

Rom 8:14,17  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God… and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
It was predestined that if anyone is led by the Spirit of God then he will be the son of God.
Eph 1:5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Brethren as Christians, our foundation is only Christ Jesus. Any teaching contradicting Jesus' commandments, words,  teachings, etc. or Jesus' faithfulness to His own words is false or heresy.

Jesus Building His Temple (SD24)

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body.
There are so many speculations on when the law (Judaism) ended and the period of grace began. Our Lord told the Jews that after the temple of God was destroyed, He would build a new temple of God in 3 days.

Destruction of the temple of God

Mark 15:37-38  And Jesus cried out with a loud voice ft, and breathed His last. Then *the veil of the temple was torn in two* from top to bottom.
At the death of our Lord Jesus on the cross, the veil of the temple of God was torn, the sign of the departure of God from the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies). Without God in the temple Judaism was over.

At His death on the cross, all these items were built within Him:-
  1. The bronze Altar - when sacrificed as the Lamb of God
  2. The bronze Laver - when He obeyed God and walk in holiness.
  3. The Table of Showbread - He was the Bread of life.
  4. The golden Lampstand - He was the Light of the world.
  5. The golden Altar - when His own life offered as sweet aroma to God.
  6. The Ark of Testimony:-
    • Ten Commandments - Word
    •  Aaron's rod- Perfect Priesthood
    •  Book of the law - Word of life

The Resurrection of Jesus

Luke 24:1, 6-7  Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared..."He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”
On the third day after His death He rose from the dead, signifying His victory over death, so that we can overcome the fear of death.
Heb 2:14-15  Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

1Cor 15:26  The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Having overcame death which is His last enemy, He ascended to sit on the throne of the Father or the mercy seat of God.

Rev 3:21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

So three days after His death and at His resurrection, He completed building the temple of God with all the items (including the mercy seat), thereby replacing Herod's temple of God which He destroyed at His death.

The Body of Christ

John 20:19, 22  Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”... And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."
On the same day He gave the Holy Spirit to His disciples, so that they were also the temple of God. However, only the bronze Altar was set up there by our Lord, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Brethren, as we walk by faith in love and holiness, the Spirit of truth will guide and help us build item by item in His Holy temple within each of us.

The Good Will Of God (SD25)

Mat 7:21  "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."
Please note that only those who do the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven. It is God's will that we love Him with all our hearts, stay away from sins and abominations, do good and righteous works, forgive one another, etc.
Heb 13:20-21  Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Rom12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

God's will can be classified into 3 categories:
  1. Goodwill
  2. Acceptable will and
  3. Perfect will of God
The Good Will of God
Out of God's goodness and love, that He sent His only begotten Son to be made flesh and died on the cross to be the propitiation of our sins. He rose on the third day so that whosoever believes in Jesus, the Lamb of God will be saved from eternal damnation. Brethren, it is God's will that all mankind is saved and this burden to bring salvation to all and to ensure that their salvation remains is given to us.
To have a clearer understanding of this good will of God, we can place ourselves in the outer court of the tabernacle. Our Lord Jesus had been offered as the sacrificial Lamb. Having believed and accepted Him, His Holy Spirit dwells within us as the seal of redemption. We are cleansed of all our sins but since our old man had not been crucified on the bronze Altar, we will continue to sin. We thank God that He is full of love and longsuffering so that whenever we confess our sin, the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all our sins.
We are supposed to be taught by holy priesthood, but covetous and defiled priests too could also minister here (e.g sons of Eli).

1Sam 2:12, 16-17  Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord... And if the man said to him, “They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him, “No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.” Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
The sons of Eli (who were also priests) distorted the word of God and taught heresies for financial gain causing the Israelites to err. Similarly, depraved and covetous pastors and leaders having lost the fear of God, will distort His words and teach and practice heresies for financial gain. Beware, brethren of these wolves.
Eph 4:21-24  if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Brethren, until we present ourselves as the living sacrifice on the bronze Altar of sacrifice, we will not be able to understand His will and do His good will.
